MuleSoft plays a crucial role in solving interoperability challenges of today, whether that is reducing waiting list times, optimising staff rostering, accelerating vaccine roll out, and other priorities relating to accelerating connectivity across the NHS ecosystem.
We do this by enabling all systems to talk to each other with an approach that allows both business functions and IT to build, innovate and deliver on their objectives. In line with NHSx’s definition of what a good technological capability looks like, this is done through reusable assets that are designed to scale in a secure and governed way.
In order to create reusable assets, provide federated access to integration, enable self-service and reduce complexity, a new organisational capability is required. This new operating model allows IT teams to transform from the traditional function as a sole technology provider to enablers of the business, providing a set of strategic assets and technology to support innovation and drive business outcomes.
