I spent 20 years consulting with technology and data programmes, worked across the financial sector, telcos, oil and gas industry, and defense. Then I had a moment where I decided that I wanted to get out of bed in the morning for the right reasons.
I started working on child protection and using technology to help workers in the field find kids that are at risk of being abused or from neglect. From then onwards, I’ve only ever worked in wanting to help people.
I genuinely love technology and work in digital to look for ways to optimize healthcare workflows. I can be in a conversation with the most amazing palliative nurses to talk about helping improve end-of-life care, and then the next day we are talking about medication, helping to stop overdoses, and making medication management safer for patients. Where can you do that? I joined Better because we’re solving those problems.
