Louise Morpeth

NIA Fellow - NHS Innovation Accelerator

Louise has over 20 years experience of senior leadership roles in the voluntary sector developing and testing innovations to improve user outcomes. She joined Brain in Hand in 2018 as Head of R&D and became Chief Exec in 2019. The company has tripled in size under her leadership and is currently a recipient of a Small Business Research Initiative grant (£800k) from NHS England to support the adoption of Brain in Hand in the NHS. Until 2017, she was CEO of the Dartington Social Research Unit, a national research charity that brought evidence to bear on policy and practice. She raised a total of £30m in grant income and led R&D projects in the UK, Europe, and North America. Louise has contributed to over 20 books, articles and peer-reviewed papers and was awarded a PhD by Exeter University in 2003. She is a fellow of the RSA and a reviewer for UKRI on the Future Leaders Fellowship programme.
